BRCF Hosts “Cocktails @ the Convention”

July 19, 2016 – Cleveland, OH, The Black Republican Caucus of Florida in concert with the National Black Caucus of State Legislators proudly hosted the Inaugural Cocktails at the Convention. With the help of sponsors: Pfizer, The GEO Group and Cruzan Rum, Cocktails at the Convention was a major success. This reception was the largest gathering of Black Republicans the Republican National Convention has ever witnessed. Such dignitaries in attendance included: Dr. Ben Carson, Omarosa Manigault, Former LT. Governor Michael Steele, Former Congressman Allen West, UT GOP Chairman James Evans, Armstrong Williams, Kansas State Representative Willie Dove to name a few. Chairman Jackson along with NBCSL President, Senator Catherine Pugh were proud to welcome over 200 guests to what quickly became dubbed the “hottest reception at the Convention”.

BRCSF becomes BRCF

November 6, 2015-Palm Beach, FL, Originally founded as the Black Republican Caucus of Palm Beach County under then Chairman Michael Barnett, the Black Republican Caucus of South Florida has accomplished many great goals but none like their latest goal. Since the swearing in of Sean P. Jackson as Chairman of the Board, the Black Republican Caucus of Palm Beach County has increased community outreach efforts, strengthened it’s fundraising efforts, enlarged it’s membership and most noticeably undergone a name change as it’s enlarged its operations to cover the tri-county region. On November 6, 2015 the Black Republican Caucus of South Florida, under the direction of Chairman Sean P. Jackson, officially became the Black Republican Caucus of Florida!

BRCF Lifetime Achievement Award

November 6, 2015-Palm Beach Gardens, FL, The Black Republican Caucus of Florida successfully hosted it’s Inaugural Evening of Diamonds & Ice Gala at the world renowned PGA Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Among the attendees were keynote speaker and then Presidential Candidate Dr. Ben Carson, Former Lieutenant Governors Michael Steele (MD) and Jennifer Carroll (FL) along with current Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera (FL). This annual event pays tribute to black republicans whose efforts over the years have kept the advocacy of black republican leadership alive and well. The awards given are Frederick Douglas Lifetime Achievement Award, Jennifer S. Carroll Humanitarian Award and the Chairman’s Award for Excellence. The 2015 Honorees were: Rev. Dr. Frank H. Walters, Jr. (lifetime achievement award), Jim Robertson (humanitarian award), Lois B. Pope (humanitarian award), Mr. Armstrong Williams (chairman’s award).
